Clermont County Joins "Call2Recycle" Program

The Clermont County Office of Environmental Quality is now an official “Call2Recycle” drop-off location, where county residents can drop off old cell phones and used portable rechargeable batteries for recycling.

The program accepts all small, dry, sealed rechargeable batteries weighing up to 2 lbs/1 kg each, including Nickel Cadmium (Ni-Cd), Nickel Metal Hydride (Ni-MH), Lithium Ion (Li-ion), and Small Sealed Lead (Pb) batteries.  Items to be recycled can be dropped off at the OEQ office at 2379 Clermont Center Drive, Batavia, Ohio from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm Monday through Friday.  For directions, call 513-732-7894.

Call2Recycle is a national program sponsored by the Rechargeable Battery Recycling Corporation.  To learn more about the program, go to their website at www.call2recycle.org, or call their toll-free help line, 1-877-2-RECYCLE.
